Company Mission
My business philosophy is much akin to my personality. I keep things simple. I offer the unique option to have a beautifully customized space without taking hours out of your busy schedule. I do this by taking the time to get to know you and your family. Through listening and in depth conversations, I develop a solid understanding of where you are in your life, and what that means for your daily routine, and your design needs.
When I develop a design for my client, whether it be a new kitchen, a master suite revamp, or a home office, I am intensely focused on how my layout proposal and selections will serve them. The layout must be well thought out, and the finishes must be practical, but equally attractive. Over the course of the project, I give my clients the option to weigh in on some hand selected personalized options, giving them a glimpse into how nice the results will be, and honing the design to perfection without overwhelming.
Utilizing my 20 years of industry experience, professional training, and a fantastic team of tried and true specialists and installers, I take my clients from a vague design theory to a finished reality that is beautiful and serves their daily needs perfectly. Read Reviews
About Me
I grew up in the bay area, but have lived in the midwest, as well as in southern California. I studied interior design at the Design Institute of San Diego, earning my BFA. Over the years I have worked in a number of specialties, which has given me expertise in many facets of design, from custom millwork and cabinetry, to high end draperies, to organization and fine furniture. I felt well equipped to begin my journey, and now 15 years later, I enjoy a well furnished portfolio, as well as a solid team of contractors, specialists, and vendors to help me build dream homes.
On a more personal note, I'm a 40-something mom of one headstrong little girl. I get my artistic ability and obsessive perfectionism from my dad. I get my patience and ability to listen from my mom. In my past life I liked to sleep in late. I enjoy good comfort food, Chicago style pizza, wings, chili cheese fries, and the like. I come from a musical family, and appreciate the performing arts. I love a well delivered film of any genre.
I live with my family in the East Bay area, and while I hate it when it gets over 75 degrees, I love the beauty of our California landscape--the hills, the trees, the colors, and the ability to enjoy beaches or snowy mountains. I am happiest when driving through the foothills, pointing out the happy cows to my daughter, and in early summer, wading along the banks of the Mokelumne River.
